Afternoon (aka High) Tea

Enjoy three tiers of Victorian brilliance! Start with finger sandwiches and other savories, move up to scones and their accompaniments, then finish with an assortment of petit fours, cakes, or biscuits [cookies]. A pot or two of any of our teas (or a glass of iced tea or bubble tea) for each guest is included. Everything is made in-house from scratch.

Teas with smaller portions and less traditional menu can also be prepared. Full portions are $40 per person (+$5 for GF), and reduced portions $25. All come with 2 pots of tea (or one other beverage of choice) per person.

*Our gluten free items are made in a common kitchen. We take steps to minimize the possibility of cross-contamination, but please consider that trace amounts of gluten are a possibility when ordering off our menu.

Illuminations Class | Sunday, Nov. 17 | 2pm

Learn the basics of illuminations and the application of gold leaf to handcrafted cards and art for the holidays. No skills in art required! If you have a slant board or adjustable artist’s table easel, you are welcome to bring it. Otherwise, all materials are provided, as are light refreshments. Class size is limited.

House-made Cumberland style sausages on a bed of mashed potatoes with red wine onion gravy.

Cottage Pie

Baked beef and vegetable stew topped with mashed potatoes.

Garlic Confit

Each month we offer the Afternoon Tea starter as a larger standalone menu item available without a reservation. Soups and salad dressings are, of course, lovingly crafted in-house. In November, we’re offering Garlic Confit, a sweet roasted garlic spread.

Luncheon Plates

$12.00

Another option that requires no reservation (or could even be boxed to go) is one of our luncheon plates. Includes a small dessert.

This November, we start with Garlic Confit.

Then choose your main:

  • Tzatziki Sandwich

 

 

These meals can be made gluten free on request for +$2

Warm Brie

$12.00

A wheel of double cream brie, topped with locally made jam and heated until it’s gooey and ready to spread on crostini or gluten-free crackers. We suggest apricot or blackberry jam, but other options may be available. It makes a lovely shareable appetizer.
This is only available in-house, and does not require a reservation.

Take and Bake Cornish Pasties

We fill our house-made pasties with beef, potato, carrots, onion, seasoning, and rutabaga locally sourced from Shelton's Farm Market, encase them in a hot water crust, and freeze them as a two pack in vacuum sealed bags. If you purchase this online, please indicate a store pickup time. These cannot be shipped.


They are also available singly in house. We bake fresh to order without a reservation- but they take about 30 minutes. (We have some lovely appetizers available while you wait, though!)
